The traditional use of Ivy has been an analgesic, astringent and for anti cellulite as it has a very strong vaso-constructive effect. Ivy also has antispasmodic properties and has been shown to be an effective remedy for headaches. It also works successfully against rheumatic pains. Here Ivy is combined with Myrrh, a small shrub native to north east Africa and Arabia. The oleoresin that exudes from its tissues is well known to aromatherapists. The main chemical constituent of Myrrh is of course its essential oil but there are certain distinct resins and acids that are specific to Myrrh shrub. Myrrh too has astringent properties and has a wide variety of uses. Whilst it is associated very much with the respiratory system from asthma to other breathing problems it also has a well-known stimulant effect upon nail growth. Skin stress these days comes from pollution, smoking, dry atmospheres such as central heated and air conditioned buildings, premature aging. Test results showed a massive decrease in cellular stress by the addition of this bio synergy. This product would be extremely useful for older skins and as a basic inclusion in day creams.
