Hyssop Properties: Respiratory-tract complaints, very effective for thr relief of coughs and as expectorant; anti-inflammatory, against asthma; against infections, bacteria. and viruses; strengthens stomach, promotes digestion, stimulates appetite, strengthens and stimulates nervous system, raises blood pressure; softens, promotes wound-healing and scar formation.

Hyssop Indications: Bronchitis, lung inflammation, sinusitis, asthma; digestive complaints, metabolizing of fat; asthenia, multiple sclerosis; wounds, scars, bruises, leprosy.

Hyssop Main Components: Isopinocamphone, 1-pinocamphone (ketone content is higher when harvest and distillation take place later in the year = fall), alpha-and beta-pinene, cadinene, beta-catyophyllene, nerol, nerolidol.

Hyssop Contraindications, side effects: Dosage must be precisely complied with for internal use by children, pregnant women, and people with ketone sensitivity.

Hyssop is a perennial aromatic shrub with small lance-shaped green leaves and purple-blue flowers. The essential oil is distilled from the flowering tops and leaves.
